Homelessness & Housing
Homelessness continues to be one of Bristol’s greatest challenges. The consistently high number of people who sleep rough (the city's rough sleeper service had contact with 951 people in 2018) is just one visible sign of the housing crisis. Access to housing is the ultimate need but in the meantime there are many people needing practical support.
At the basic human level, we all need food, shelter, safety and connection. These very basic needs can be met through the church and it's a Biblical imperative.
How you or your church can help
You can help by continuing to stay informed generally, volunteering, praying and giving. If you have a passion for an initiative that meets an unmet need, talk to potential beneficiaries, talk to existing projects and organisations before starting.
