Bristol City of Sanctuary - Manager
Can you help realise Bristol City of Sanctuary’s vision for the city of Bristol, its organisations, networks and communities, to be a place of welcome and safety for people seeking sanctuary? Are you familiar with the statutory and voluntary sector and able to engage a wide range of groups and individuals in this vision?
Bristol City of Sanctuary (BCoS) has established a respected reputation in Bristol for bringing communities together to create places of safety and welcome for refugees and asylum seekers. As an approved CIO, BCoS is seeking to appoint a Manager to coordinate and develop support in the city for its work.
The main duty of the post is to maintain oversight of all BCoS activity towards building a culture of welcome.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of issues facing people seeking sanctuary, and excellent networking, communication and negotiating skills.
Salary: JNC pt 29-31 (pro-rata to £26,470 -£28,221)
Hours: 14 hours per week
Location: The post will be based in Easton near central Bristol, but will entail a considerable amount of outreach work.
