Faith and Community Building Conference
St Mary Redcliffe Church invite you to join them for an introduction to faith-driven community building and social action, using an asset-based approach.
'Asset-based community development (or ABCD) is founded on the idea that change will only happen if we identify and mobilise the gifts and capacities of local people and the social, physical and economic resources of a local place. It is an approach that seeks to build strong, sustainable communities from the ‘inside out’, through forging and nurturing relationships of care and creativity.' (Rev. Al Barrett)
This one day conference will equip you with:
an understanding of the key principles of ABCD and how it links to faith-driven community building and social action;
tools for implementing an ABCD approach within your ministry; and
inspiration and opportunities to be involved in community building in Redcliffe or your own communities.
This event is being organised by St Mary Redcliffe Church in partnership with Bristol City Council's Community Development Team.
