Faith in This Place: How Is the Christian Church Reshaping Itself in the Future City?
with Revd Canon Michael Roden, Tim Dobson and Sarah James

Faith organisations and buildings have been core to the making and shaping of cities for millennia. At the same time, allegories of heavenly cities and the sacred nature of city sites are common across the world’s religions.

In this conversation, The Revd Canon Michael Roden (Bristol Cathedral), Tim Dobson (The Community Church, Southmead) and Sarah James (Faithspace) will be discussing the established and changing ways in which contemporary Christian organisations contribute to, shape and influence city development and city life.

This session is the first in a new programme of talks at The New Room, exploring issues of contemporary faith in action.

When: Thursday 17th October 2019 2-3PM

Where: John Wesley's Chapel, The New Room, 36 The Horsefair, Bristol BS1 3JE
